Dhanbad, Dec 16: A Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) miner Sukar Dhobi, his wife and son were found dead in their house in Gorbgadda village under Nawadih police station, around 25 km away from Bokaro district headquarters on Thursday morning.

Nawadih police station sub-inspector Ranjit Kumar said that when Sukar did not come out from his house till 10 a.m., his son from his first wife, Raju Rajak, knocked on the door. He called the neighbours and broke the door after he did not get any response from inside for a long time.

Sukar was found dead on a cot while his wife and son were lying on the floor. Police took the bodies in possession and sent them for post mortem.

“Prima facie, it looks like a poisoning case after assessing the condition of the bodies. But nothing could be said on the issue before getting the post mortem report,” said Ranjit Kumar who reached the spot and began the investigation.

Sukar Dhobi used to work in Govindpur Project of Kathara colliery area under Central Coalfield Limited. He had married twice and his first wife lives in a separate house in the village with her son Raju Rajak.

Ranjit Kumar said that the house of Sukar Dhobi has been sealed and further investigation will be done on the directive of senior officers.
