Central University of Jharkhand’s NSS wing organises blood donation camp

Ranchi, April 22: The National Service Scheme wing of the Central University of Jharkhand on Friday organised a Blood donation camp in collaboration with RIMS and Zinnia NGO. Many NSS volunteers, CUJ students and staff took part in this initiative.

 

 

NSS program officer and Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication Prof. Rashmi Verma mentioned the importance of donating blood which can be a lifesaver in the time of need.

She also emphasised that the NSS CUJ wing and its volunteers are committed to the motto ‘Not Me but You’ and are regularly involved in developmental activities for society.

Prof Verma also appreciated the efforts of Zinnia NGO and their volunteers for extending a helping hand for the social cause.

Mayank Kumar Jha from Amity University and Vandana from CUJ also emphasised on the involvement of youth in such activities. They also mentioned that more than 100 youths are part of their initiative and are actively volunteering with the NGO.

Dr Kavita Devghariya, Counsellor blood bank RIMS and her medical team took care of the process. CUJ medical officer Dr. Prachi Shelke with nurse Sudhira Minz and medical attendant Yadvendra Kumar were also present during the camp.
