Ranchi, Nov 17: The tenure of Sanjay Mishra as director of the Enforcement Directorate has been extended for a period of one year. Now Sanjay Mishra will continue to head this premier investigative agency till November 18, next year.
The appointment committee of the cabinet approved his extension on Thursday.
He was first appointed as the ED Director for a two-year term in November 2018. The two-year term expired in November 2020 and he was given a fresh extension till November 2022.
Earlier, a petition was filed before the Supreme Court challenging his extension.
