New Delhi, Jan 28: The Mughal Garden at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi has been renamed Amrit Udyan by the Central government on Saturday.
The Central Government changed the name of the Mughal Gardens to Amrit Udyan in keeping with the theme of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence.
“On the occasion of the celebrations of 75 years of Independence as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the President of India has given a common name to the Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens as ‘Amrit Udyan’,” said Navika Gupta, Deputy Press Secretary to President.
