New Delhi, Dec 5: Four infants were reported dead at Ambikapur Medical College in Chhattisgarh due to a four-hour power cut, according to news agency ANI. The power outage, which is believed to be the cause of the four newborns’ deaths, occurred while they were in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the medical college.
Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singh Deo addressed the situation by directing the formation of an investigation team and assured action.
“I have instructed Health Secy to form probe team. Going to Ambikapur Hospital to gather more information. Further action will be ensured after the probe,” said State Health Minister.
