Chief Secretary held a meeting regarding Corps Fund, will be formed in a week

Ranchi: On Friday, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh held a meeting with the high-ranking officers of the Planning cum Finance and Cabinet Coordination Departments regarding the Corps Fund. According to the information received from secretariat sources, the Chief Secretary should constitute the Corps Fund within a week. Whatever procedures are left for this, they should be completed within a week. In this regard, he discussed in detail about the Corps Fund with the officials for about one and a half hours. He told the officers that one of the priorities of the government is the formation of Corps Fund. In view of this, it was asked to ensure its formation within a week.

On June 29, the Cabinet approved the formation of the Corps Fund.

In the light of the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the process of formation of Corps Fund was started. On June 29, the cabinet had also given its approval on this proposal. Since then, work is going on at the government level regarding its formation. Under the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme, a corpus fund of Rs 25 crore is being formed in the state. With the interest earned from this, compensation amount will be paid in the form of relief to farmers in case of crop damage.
