Jamshedpur, March 24: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of clear sky and drive weather in Jharkhand till Saturday. Weathermen said no significant synoptic system exists over the state.
The trough from interior Tamilnadu to south Chhattisgarh was today running from Rayalaseema to south Jharkhand across Telangana, south Chhattisgarh and interior Odisha at 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is likely to take place at a few places over the state on Sunday.
Statistics suggested that very light to light rain with thunderstorm occurred in isolated places over the state during 24 hours. The highest rainfall recorded was 06.2 mm at Palkot (Gumla). The highest maximum temperature of 33.7°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 15.3°C was recorded at Garhwa.
The forecast suggested a gradual rise in maximum temperature by (3-4) °C during the next two days, thereafter no large change for the subsequent two days.
