Jamshedpur, Feb 28: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry and clear weather in Jharkhand till March 5.
Weathermen said the dry weather would result in a gradual rise in the day reading in most parts of the state.
Satellite pictures suggested that a cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Bihar and its neighbourhood at 3.1 km above the mean sea level.
The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level was today running roughly along Long. 72°E to the north of Lat. 32°N.
A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region & adjoining plains of Northwest India from February 28.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 – hours. The highest maximum temperature of 34.6°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 10.5°C was recorded at Simdega.
Statistics suggested that the minimum temperature hovered between 13 and 16 degree Celsius in most places across the state.
