Ranchi, Jan 14: Taking a stand over providing relief of Rs 25 on petrol to the poor labourers, farmers and middle-class families of the state, Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the concerned officials to make an app soon during a review meeting today.
During the meeting, CM said that the app should be prepared as soon as possible so that an amount of Rs 25 per litre can be deposited in the bank account as a subsidy on the purchase of the petrol.
“A poor family would be given a subsidy of Rs.25 per litre and a maximum of Rs.250 per litre on purchase of petrol up to a maximum of 10 litres per month,” he said.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that all the departments concerned should develop a mechanism soon after making better coordination, so that the discount on the purchase of petrol be given to the eligible people from January 26.
On completion of 2 years of the government, CM Hemant Soren had announced a subsidy of Rs 25 in petrol in a grand program organized in the capital. He had said that from January 26, the ration card holder families of the state, who have bikes, scooty or other two-wheelers, but are unable to fill the tank due to the cost of petrol, will be given a rebate of Rs 25 per litre on the purchase of petrol.

Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Food Supplies and Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department Secretary Himani Pandey, Transport Secretary KK Son and other officials were present in the meeting.
