Ramgarh, Aug 20: Col Harmit Singh, Commander of NCC 22 Battalion, inspected the NCC Cadets at DAV Barkakana on Saturday.

School Principal cum Regional Officer Dr Urmila Singh welcomed Colonel Harmit Singh by presenting him with a bouquet. The NCC children then led the colonel to Amar Jawan Jyoti. NEO Lt. Santosh Gupta honoured the colonel and Principal with green saplings.

The Principal while addressing the children said, “It is a matter of good fortune for us that Colonel Harmit Singh, Commander of 22 Corps, is a resident of Ramgarh and he studied in KV Ramgarh. I am sure he will do everything possible for the development of NCC.”

Later, the colonel interacted with the children and answered their questions raised by them. He told the children that the foundation of discipline is a person’s will. “So, we have to strengthen our will. The meaning of service to the country is dedication. A person should do the work with full devotion and honesty,” he said.

DAV Rajrappa Principal HK Jha and Nayak Subedar Pankaj Kumar were also present on the occasion.
