Ranchi, Oct.28: Ulemas (Muslim scholars) are not happy with the Congress for not taking steps to rescue their three MLAs who landed in trouble after recovery of Rs 50 lakh cash from their possession in West Bengal.
They expressed their views while felicitating Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Ansari, Khijri MLA Rajesh Kacchap and Kolebira MLA Naman Vixel Kongari in Kolkata. Over 100 Ulemas from Jharkhand and West Bengal were present in the programme organized under the leadership of Naqib-e-Hindustan Mohammad Taslim Raza Madani.
According to Ulemas, the way the three MLAs have been implicated under a conspiracy, there is huge resentment among the people of the entire society.
“The people of their own party trapped all the three MLAs in a well thought out conspiracy. In such a situation, the Congress party should support its MLAs and understand the whole matter. But the stand of the party has angered the whole society. When it comes to buying our MLAs, the BJP does not have enough power to buy people like Irfan Ansari. If you take a look at the complete history of Irfan Ansari, then only you will know how much his family has contributed to the Congress party,” one of the Ulema said during the programme.
Another Ulema echoed the same. “The Congress party is doing a good work in Jharkhand under the leadership of Irfan Ansari and people’s inclination towards Congress is big. But there is a lot of resentment among the people with the neglecting attitude of the party. The party along with its MLAs should come forward and take a proper stand. All these three MLAs are hard-working and these people have penetration in every section of the society,” the Ulema said.
The three MLAs present during the programme expressed their full faith in the judiciary and said they are returning to Jharkhand soon. They assured them a befitting reply to the conspirators at an opportune moment and till then they asked them to have patience. They expressed their full faith in Rahul Gandhi saying that Gandhi will become the Prime Minister of the country soon.
Prominent among the Ulemas included Haji Alauddin Sahab, Mohammad Taslim Raza Madani Mohammad Shamsher Asharfi, Mohammad Farooq Shabbiri, Mohammad Ayub Mohammad Jahangir, and Mohammad Anwar Abdul Razzaq Mohammad Rais Mohammad Shahabuddin.
