Ranchi, Jan 22: The grip of the coronavirus has started to lose control over the state with the increase in the recovery rate and decrease in the infection rate.
As per the data released by the state’s health department, Jharkhand had 32,350 active cases on January 13. The recent data released on Friday by the department suggests that there are only 23,770 active cases.
The 7 days growth rate which was at 0.99% a week ago has also drastically reduced to 0.52% which is reflected in the positive cases reported within a week.

The data between January 13 to January 21 suggests that the testing rate has remained constant while the rate of corona infection have decreased drastically and at the same time the recovery rate has also gained a peak.
At the same time, the state has crossed the 2-crore mark in administering the first dose to the 18+ population of the state.
Out of the eligible 2,41,21,312 people among the 18+ group, 2,00,57,455 have been administered the first dose as per the latest data released on Friday night.
The districts including Bokaro and East Singhbhum has joined the elite group by administering the first dose to 95% of the eligible population among the 18+ age group while Khunti has administered the same to 91%.
In administering the second dose to the 18+ age group, the state has only administered doses to 52% of the total population eligible in the age group.
East Singhbhum, Bokaro and Ranchi have administered the maximum number of doses to the eligible teenagers with 74,529; 66,155 and 55,220 doses respectively.
The overall vaccination coverage remained at 34% across the eligible teenagers.
