Corona tally crosses 30,000-mark, infection claims 8 lives in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Jan 13: Jharkhand reported 4,753 fresh COVID-19 cases and eight deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department informed on Wednesday, January 12.

With the addition of new cases, the active caseload in the state mounted to 30,986.

Of the new cases, East Singhbhum reported the highest number of cases at 1,280 followed by Ranchi (1,268) and Hazaribagh (321) districts.

As many as 2,801 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. However, the new fatalities pushed the COVID-19 death toll in the state to 5184.
