Jammu: The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) carried out raids at 13 locations across the Kashmir Valley on Thursday as part of the ongoing investigation into the Red Fort blast that killed 12 people on November 10.
Raids Across Valley And Terror Links Under Scrutiny
Sources said the CIK teams searched multiple premises in Anantnag, Kulgam, and Srinagar, focusing on individuals linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammed network suspected of orchestrating the Delhi car explosion. This comes a day after Anantnag Police launched a large-scale crackdown on the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI) outfit, raiding over 200 locations, while Kulgam Police continued anti-national operations and vehicle inspections near the Navyug Tunnel.
Explosive Diaries And Planning Details Found
Security agencies have recovered diaries belonging to Dr Umar and Dr Muzammil, the key accused in the Delhi blast. Entries dated November 8–12 suggest that a coordinated terror plot was being planned during that period. The diaries, found in Room No. 4 (Dr Umar) and Room No. 13 (Dr Muzammil), contain coded messages and about 25 names, most of them from Jammu & Kashmir and Faridabad. Investigators believe these entries indicate a well-planned conspiracy involving multiple operatives.
New Explosive Network Discovered
The diaries revealed that at least eight suspects were preparing for coordinated bombings at four different locations, with each pair assigned a target city. Police suspect the group was readying two additional vehicles for explosions besides the i20 and EcoSport already identified in the investigation. The explosives—over 360 kg recovered from Dhauj near Al-Falah University—were believed to be distributed for synchronized attacks.
Investigations Intensify Across States
The crackdown is part of a wider inter-state probe connecting terror activities from Jammu and Kashmir to Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The agencies are analyzing chemical samples, communication records, and coded entries to decode the full network behind the Red Fort blast, which officials have formally declared a terrorist attack.
