Covid test camp at Civil Court Daltonganj, 200 personnel screened

Daltonganj, Jan 3: A massive covid testing drive was launched today in the civil courts Daltonganj.

Giving this information, the civil surgeon who is indisposed but monitoring the drive told lagatar24.com that more than 200 judicial officers and staff of the civil courts Daltonganj were screened today.

Oro pharyngeal swab was collected for the rapid antigen test.

The Palamu  principal district and sessions judge P K Choubey and his battery of judicial officers gave their swab for the covid test and all have tested negative much to their great relief and glee, said a functionary of the court.

The Civil surgeon said that as per the last report that has reached him, only one personnel of the civil courts has tested covid positive out of the total of more than 200.

“Our team has gone to the house of the covid positive personnel to take swab samples of his entire family members. We are also tracing the contacts of the covid positive personnel. Five houses at least in the first phase will be screened,” he said.

The CS also informed that the Palamu Bar Association has requested a similar screening which will be conducted tomorrow (Tuesday).

He said he has appealed to the bar and bench to take extra precautions and ask people around not to drop their masks.

Meanwhile, in the first four hours of the vaccination opening for the teens under the age group of 15 to 18, 447 teens had taken their first jab of Covaxin at the covid vaccination site set up in the Medinirai medical college hospital Daltonganj.
