Jamshedpur, April 7: A CRPF jawan made a suicide attempt by shooting self at a picket in Bhuiyasanan under Bodam thana area in Patamds late last night.

Identified as Kishore Kumar Thapa (31), the jawan sustained a bullet injury in the upper portion of the chest and has been admitted to the Tata Main Hospital.  Thapa has sustained injury fired from the Insas rifle he used to possess.

According to police, the jawan who is posted in the Special Assault Team of the CRPF had quarrelled with his wife over a monetary issue before the suicide attempt.

“Thapa used to quarrel with his wife on a regular basis while taking account of the expenses made on the household expenditure. The nagging quarrel had already reached to such an extent that he had threatened to commit suicide, ” said a police officer who had talked to some of the members of the injured jawan.
