Cruise party drugs case: Aryan Khan’s bail rejected again

Mumbai's special NDPS court refuses to grant bail to all three accused

Mumbai, Oct 20: The bail application of Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, accused in the Cruise Drugs Party case, has been rejected once again. The Special NDPS Court of Mumbai has refused to grant bail to Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamicha, including Aryan. Now they will appeal in Mumbai High Court for bail.

Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3,hours after Narcotics Control Bureau officers raided a Mumbai cruise ship party in disguise. Seven others, including his friend Arbaaz Merchant were arrested on same day. At present Aryan has been lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail since October 8. However, Aryan’s 14-day judicial custody will end on October 21.

In Aryan’s case the NCB had initially registered a case for drug consumption, they had invoked Sections 27, 28 and 29. Section 28 is attempt to consume, section 29 is conspiracy to consume and section 27 is for consumption. 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested so far in the case.
