Nuh, August 11: Schools and educational institutions reopened in Nuh on Friday after being closed due to violent incidents.

The district administration said that the curfew will be eased from 7 am to 3 pm today.

Principal of Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School Ravinder Jain reports that while certain students from the primary section have returned to class, higher-grade students are still not present.

“Some students of the primary section have come however the higher grade students are not coming. Students who are participating in the 15th August program have also come. This is a good move by the administration,” he said.

Nuh District Magistrate Dhirendra Khadgata issued an order easing the restriction on public mobility from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (8 hours only) on August 11. Banks have received a different order.

Nuh district has witnessed violence following clashes between two groups broke out after a religious procession passing through the district came under attack, leaving two home guards dead and dozens of people—including around 20 policemen—injured in the frenzy of violence that followed.

According to the district magistrate’s order, anyone found guilty of breaking the curfew is subject to punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and any other applicable laws.

It stated that Superintendent of Police Nuh would see to it that these directives were carried out correctly.
