Jamshedpur, Aug 30: The cyclonic circulation which originated from the Bay of Bengal has moved north of Jharkhand.
Today’s, satellite pictures suggested patches of clouds mostly over districts located in northern parts of Jharkhand.
Jamshedpur and several other places in southern and central Jharkhand today woke up to clear weather with bright sunshine.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre did not issue any alerts as such for today. But, it said lightning and thunder are expected in a few isolated places.
As far as the rain deficit is concerned Jharkhand has notched a deficit of 26 percent.
Against a normal of 786 mm, the state has so far received 581.3 mm, a deficit of 26 percent.
Rain data suggested that most districts were still facing deficient rain at the end of August, the third monsoon month.
