Ranchi: As part of Jharkhand Foundation Day celebrations, a cyclothon was flagged off from Ranchi to Ulihatu, Khunti, the birthplace of tribal icon Birsa Munda. State Sports Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu inaugurated the event, describing it as a tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the creation of Jharkhand.
Minister’s Emotional Tribute To Statehood Martyrs
Addressing participants, Minister Sonu said with pride and emotion, “It is because of the sacrifices of our ancestors who fought tirelessly for a separate state that today we see Jharkhand as a young and progressive region.” He added that the Foundation Day should serve as a reminder of the vision and courage of those who shaped the state’s identity.
Spreading Message Of Growth And Prosperity
The minister emphasized that the cyclothon aims to carry the message of development and prosperity to every village and citizen across Jharkhand. “Our government’s goal is to build a strong, prosperous, and developed Jharkhand where every individual can contribute to progress,” he said.
