Daltonganj, Dec. 9: The town police are going to hold a test identification parade of the recovered gold and gold contents on December 11. The gold contents were pilfered by the chief manager and deputy manager of the United Bank of India, Daltonganj branch along with more than a dozen fraudsters from 7 lockers. The venue of the test identification parade will be the Town thana.
SP Palamu, Chandan Kumar Sinha, informed that more than a dozen fraudsters including the chief manager and deputy manager were jailed for the offence of pilferage of these lockers.
Officer-in-charge of the town police station, A K Mahatha, said that following the due permission for the test identification parade from the chief judicial magistrate, the SP has directed to hold it on December 11. It will be supervised by the additional SP, K Vijay Shankar.
“It is incumbent upon all the 7 victim locker holders whose lockers were pilfered and gold and gold contents stolen, to be present in the test identification parade due on December 11,” he said.
The SP has asked the victims to identify their stolen gold genuinely so that no dispute jeopardizes the parade.
Once the victims identify their items among the recovered lot, after due process they through their lawyers are to move the court for the issue of order to release the identified and claimed gold and gold contents. After the court issues the release order, only then the victims will get their belongings from the police.
