Daltonganj, June 12: Yoga classes started in the Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha in Daltonganj on Sunday.
Medicos of the session 2021 – 22 of this college were mandated to undergo yoga training. The principal of the college Dr Shailendra Kumar said, “The National Medical Commission has included yoga in the syllabus and for the session 2021 – 22 all medicos across the country are mandated to do it.”
Dr Kumar said, “A health worker Satish Kumar posted in the community health centre at Lesliganj is imparting yoga training to a total of 100 medicos.”
As p0er sources, staff, personnel, and even some faculty members are participating in the yoga training program.
“We are preparing our medicos to perform well on this International Yoga Day on June 21. These yoga classes at this moment will continue till June 21 only,” the principal added.
Civil surgeon Palamu Dr Anil Kumar said that yoga instructor Satish Kumar has been arranged for the medicos.
He further added, “Palamu has 70 health and wellness centers besides two Rajkiya Aushdhalayas one each at Ramgarh and Padma where yoga exercises are done.”
Dr Kumar said, “Yoga exercises are available by the trainers for two days a week at the health and wellness center and at 2 Rajkiya Aushdhalayas.”
