Godda, Nov.3: A recent letter by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh sent to the Godda MP Nishikant Dubey revealed that the Hemant Soren government is reluctant to set up another Sainik School proposed in Godda district. The letter mentions that the state government has not responded to several letters sent by the Ministry of Defence during the past couple of years.

Rajnath Singh through a letter dated October 27 in response to Dubey’s move to raise the matter in Lok Sabha in August this year, has stated that his ministry was yet to receive any reply from the state government for executing a memorandum of agreement (MOA) pertaining to the latter’s obligation to confirm the necessary financial commitment including the construction of buildings and other required facilities.

The Defence Ministry, according to Rajnath Singh, had carried out site inspection for the Sainik School in Thakurgangti block of Godda district in May 2018 following such proposal of the then Raghubar Das government, followed by the letter to the Jharkhand government for executing MOA with the Ministry of Defence.

“No reply from the state government has so far been received despite reminders sent on 7-2-2019, 19-2- 2019, 02-7-2019, 17-19-2019, 18-12-2020 and 30-12-2020,” Singh has mentioned in the said letter to Dubey.

Taking a jibe at the Hemant Soren government, Dubey has said through his Facebook post on Wednesday that he and his cabinet colleagues did not have any interest in the cause of the common people of the state.

“Na bachhon Ki Padhai Na hi Rojgar yeh Hai handiya Sarkar,” Dubey has captioned his Facebook post on Wednesday.
