New Delhi, Aug 23: Poonam Jain, the wife of Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, was granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday in connection with a case involving money laundering.

In the meantime, Satyender Jain had also submitted a new bail request in the case in which the court had heard certain arguments on Saturday. On August 27, the court will hear his request for bail.

On August 27, the bail requests of co-accused Ankush and Vaibhav Jain will also be heard.

Earlier, on August 6, 2022, the court granted the wife of the Delhi minister interim bail after finding that Poonam Jain, Sunil Kumar Jain, and Ajit Kumar Jain were not detained during the course of the investigation and that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had already filed a chargesheet in the case.

The chargesheet names 10 defendants in the money laundering case, including Delhi Cabinet Minister Satyender Jain, four private companies, and six individuals. The investigation company Enforcement Directorate detained Satyender Jain, Ankush Jain, and Vaibhav Jain; they are currently being held in judicial custody.
