New Delhi, July 31: Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court gave notice on Monday to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in response to a request made by the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, requesting authorization to withdraw money for his wife’s medical expenses and other household obligations.
The ED has seized this account.
A notice was sent to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) by Special Judge M K Nagpal. The application will be heard by the court, on August 4.
Since the bank won’t let Sisodia withdraw the money without a written court order, he has asked permission to do so.
Advocate Mohd Irshad claimed on his behalf that the bank was preventing him from withdrawing the money he needed for medical and other needs.
The Court ordered the CBI to give the documents to the remaining accused parties in the meantime.
The court has been told that several accused parties have already received the documents.
The next hearing date is August 22.
During the hearing, the CBI opposed Arjun Pandey’s request for bail and asserted that he played a significant role in the transaction involving the 44 crore rupees. He might obstruct the ongoing inquiry into the South lobby.
When the bail plea was being heard in Delhi, the judge stated, “The court asked you to have all the evidence before filing the charge sheet, but you didn’t arrest this accused.”
He received Rs 60 lakh as consulting fees from a news station, CBI stated.
The accused is a media professional and he was the marketing head of a news channel. He’s an environmentalist and a documentary filmmaker, his attorney said.
