Delhi man stabbed to death after altercation with minibus driver, three detained

New Delhi, Feb 15: A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in Delhi’s Nangloi area on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Sahil Malik.

As per information, the incident occurred after the deceased and his brother Vishal Malik had a verbal altercation with the driver of a minibus in the area who hit his bike from behind near Nangloi metro station.

Vishal Malik was returning from a gym when his bike grazed a man, leading to an argument on the road. Several men attacked Vishal, who managed to escape but had to leave his bike behind. He went to the police and called his brother Sahil, asking him to retrieve the bike.

“My nephew Vishal Malik was returning from a gym when he had an argumenta  with an RTV bus driver over some issue. They were around 8 to 10 people and thrashed him,” said Khaleel Malik, uncle of the deceased.

He left his bike there & managed to escape. He went to Nangloi PS & sought help but police didn't help him. Later he called his brother Sahil & asked him to bring the bike. The deceased’s uncle added that after reaching the police station, the police asked them to bring the bikes along. When Sahil went to the spot to pick up the bike, the miscreants attacked him with a knife. Sahil was declared dead after he was rushed to a hospital.

Meanwhile, three persons have been detained in connection with the incident and raids are underway to track down the accused.
