New Delhi, March 31: Delhi Police arrested eight persons on Thursday for the vandalism incident at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s house yesterday, according to news agency ANI.

More people are being sought by the authorities. Raids are being carried out by six police units.

The security barrier outside CM’s house was breached, according to reports, and the CCTV cameras around CM’s residence were smashed.

Following the attack on the CM’s residence, Manish Sisodia, the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, accused the BJP of “conspiracy to get Arvind Kejriwal killed.”

Saurabh Bharadwaj, another AAP politician, stated that the BJP is attempting to “assassinate” CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi Police had earlier said that a case has been registered under sections 186/353/188/332 of IPC and Act No 3 of The Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 in connection with protest outside Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s house.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday protested against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for reportedly calling the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits fake. In a speech to the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal slammed the BJP for pushing The Kashmir Files.
