New Delhi, Sept 1: A man who allegedly shot and injured a 16-year-old girl for ghosting him online was taken into custody by the Delhi Police on Thursday. After the shooting, the suspect, identified as Arman alias Amanat Ali, fled the scene.
Ali, who is accused of trying to kill the girl, told the police that he came in contact with the girl via social media.
The class 12 student was fired last Thursday while she was leaving school in the Sangam Vihar neighbourhood of South Delhi (August 25).

During questioning by the police, the accused admitted that he had plotted to kill the girl since she had ghosted him and ceased communicating with him. Ali then got in touch with Bobby and Pawan, and the group pursued the female before Ali started shooting. The girl is currently safe despite having a gunshot wound to her shoulder.
Following the incident, Bobby and Pawan were taken into custody. Both defendants admitted during questioning that the teenager had contact with Arman Ali, the third defendant, two years prior over social media. About 56 months ago, she stopped speaking with Ali, which bothered him.
In addition, the authorities found two firearms made in the nation, three live rounds, and one fired empty round. The case is being looked into even more.
