New Delhi, Dec 17: Delhi reported ten new cases of Omicron variant on Friday, taking the total number of cases of the Omicron in national capital to 20.
“Of the 20 cases, 10 patients have been discharged from the hospital. Currently, 10 patients are admitted to LNJP hospital,” said Satyendar Jain adding that all the patients are stable.
Earlier on Thursday, Delhi reported four cases of Omicron. With the new cases, the number of Omicron cases in India reaches to 97.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra has so far reported the highest number of Omicron cases at 32, followed by Rajasthan at 17. These cases have also been reported in the states of Karnataka (8), Gujarat (5), Kerala (5), Telangana (2), Tamil Nadu(1),West Bengal (1) and Andhra Pradesh (1) and Union Territories of Delhi (20) and Chandigarh (1). Notably, India’s first two cases of the Omicron variant were detected in Karnataka on December 2.
