Deoghar, Sept.30: At a time when the ruling party leaders are already at loggerheads with the state BJP leadership, particularly Godda MP Nishikant Dubey, over the inauguration of the much talked about approach road to Deoghar airport, a social media post prompted the district administration to pull up socks to avoid more drama.
A social media post on Thursday morning suggested that the Godda BJP MP would inaugurate a building there today. This left the district administration red-faced which instead of investigating its reality went ahead with fortifying the premises, which is to house the press club and fish house, by heavily deploying security forces to prevent any such attempt.
The scale of anxiety within the rank and files of the local administration following the said social media post was gauged from the fact that a press release was soon issued by the District Public Relations Department denying any such event to take place. The post was ultimately found as fake.
The press release quoted Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri having taken cognizance of the viral social media post regarding the inauguration of the press club and fish house and that permission for the same was not yet given to anyone. It further states that the building will be inaugurated in the coming days after completion of the work and stern action will be taken against those engaged in rumour-mongering or attempting to inaugurate it.
Meanwhile, Dubey who is busy attending inauguration of newly introduced trains and other passenger facilities for nearly one week now, along with the local party MLA Narayan Das and party cadres, was witnessed inspecting the waterlogged localities of the temple town.
“Instead of taking care of the inconvenience the residents have been facing due to waterlogging in roads and streets due to heavy rains, the Deoghar administration is walking extra miles on the basis of a social media rumour,” Dubey remarked.
Notably, leaders of the ruling alliance, including JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey and Congress MLA Dr. Irfan Ansari have termed the inauguration of the approach road to Deoghar airport which has been named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by the BJP leaders to be unconstitutional.
“I have directed the competent official of the Deoghar administration to lodge an FIR against all the BJP leaders involved in inaugurating the approach road which is the exclusive jurisdiction of the state government,” Dr. Ansari stated.
