Deoghar cyber police recover Rs 51.30 lakhs, arrest 1210 fraudsters  in 2021

Dhanbad, Dec 30: Deoghar cyber police today claimed to have set a record with the recovery of over Rs 51.30 lakh and arresting 1210 fraudsters from different parts of the district in one year.
Deoghar deputy superintendent of police (cyber) Sumit Prasad while addressing media persons in the evening said that in the campaign against cybercriminals from December 2020 to December 30, 2021  total of 1210 fraudsters involved in  210 cheating incidents were arrested and Rs  51,30, 570 recovered from their possession in raids.
“Besides cash amount, the cyber police also recovered 2257 mobile phones used by criminals in cheating people. 3543 Sim cards, 1026 ATM cards, 738 passbooks, 143 cheque books, 39 laptops,  two clone machines, 10 swipe machines, seven routers from them,” the DSP said.
The cyber police official said the special teams set up by Superintendent of Police (SP) Dhananjay Kumar Singh also recovered 102 bikes, 33 luxury cars, six POS machines, 34 packed Sim cards and eight empty Sim cards from their possession round the year.
“ Deoghar cyber police not only solved local cheating cases of the district as well as a state but also complaints of other states immediately. Recently the district cyber police recovered Rs1.5 lakh cheated by criminals from the former vice-chancellor of Hyderabad ( Telangana)  in the second week of this month,” said the DSP.
