MANISH RAJ

Deoghar, April 26: Four seized and parked vehicles were burnt after a fire broke out in the backyard of the Jasidih police station.

A team of the fire brigade on receiving the information reached the spot and doused the flames. Before the team could reach the spot, the tiers of four vehicles were gutted.

Two vehicles and half a dozen fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames. Two water tankers of the Municipal Corporation were also made available.

There were two tractors and two pickup vans parked on the spot. Fortunately, an oil tanker had a narrow escape in this incident. The fire was put under control and a big tragedy was aborted.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The back of the Jasidih police station is fenced with iron wire but at many places, wires are broken and there is easy access through this pass into the police station ground.

It is being speculated that the fire may have broken out by the deeds of some unsocial elements.
