Dhanbad, March 23: Three MLAs, including Dhulu Mahto of BJP, Sudesh Mahto, and  Lambodar Mahto of AJSU have demanded action against two senior officers of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) PB Area office where a daughter of suspended staff was found hanging in the washroom in mysterious condition.
After meeting the grieved family members, the three MLAs along with former MLA Umakant Rajak demanded a fair probe into the incident from the state government and proper action against PB Area general manager (GM) PK Mishra and personnel manager (PM) Prabhat Kumar.  On Tuesday Baghmara MLA  Dhulu Mahto had also raised the issue in the assembly.
After meeting the victim’s family members on Tuesday evening, AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto assured them full help on his part.
“ The BCCL suspends its employees who refuse to give up their land. Parwati Kumari was murdered. If responsible officers are not arrested he would launch agitation right from the road to the assembly,”  announced Dhulu Mahto.

Parwati Kumari, daughter of suspended staff member Fatik Chandra Mahto, was found hanging in the washroom of  the GM office on Monday afternoon. She had been making rounds of the GM office for the last several days for the withdrawal of the suspension order of her father. Fatik Chandra Mahto had been suspended for obstructing office work. It is alleged that the BCCL has acquired his land without paying compensation. He was raising the demand for compensation.

A police official said no staff had seen her entering the office. In the afternoon her body was found hanging.

After getting information, family members of the girl reached the office and stopped the police from bringing down the body till the arrest of responsible officers.  However, finally, after 24 hours of the incident on Tuesday, they allowed the police to take the body.
The victim’s family also lodged a murder charge complaint against both the offers of BCCL in Putki police station.
