Dhanbad, Dec 8: The Dhanbad Action Group (DAG), an influential social health organisation, has urged the district administration for imposing a ban on DJs and loud systems at night after 10 pm.

In a memorandum to the deputy commissioner (DC), Sandip Singh said that these nights, DJs and music are playing loud sounds which are heard inside the room despite closed doors and windows due to winter. Children, old age persons, and patients with heart disease and paralysis are facing massive problems from it.

DAG secretary Dheeraj Sharma in a memorandum to DC has said that whenever a complaint is lodged at late night against such noise pollution of DJs and loud music, Control Room neither took cognizance nor takes action against them.

In the past, the district administration used to take action and sometimes even seized the system as well as loudspeakers but now the concerned authority does not act.

“Supreme court has also already imposed a ban on DJs and playing loud sound music at night from 10 pm. So Dhanbad Action Group urge you to kindly implement a ban on DJs, loud music systems in the district as per the directive of the Supreme Court from 10 pm to 6 am and take action as it is dangerous for old age persons as well as patients,” he said.
