Dhanbad, Feb 25: The top authorities of BIT Sindri and SAIL Burnpur today set up an agenda on Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) and discussed how to implement it in joint cooperation.
BIT Sindri director Prof DK Singh said that at the meeting, they discussed how to train BTech, MTech and PhD students with new technology and technique for solving industrial problems so that the gap between technical institutions and industry could be patched up.
The SAIL Burnpur executive director Dr Rajiv Kumar while expressing satisfaction over the meeting with the BIT authorities said that his team has identified some industrial problems that would be given to BIT Sindri students for solving.
“It would be a mega project to be implemented jointly by SAIL Burnpur and BIT Sindri,” said the executive director Dr Rajiv Kumar.
Sanjiv Ranjan Das, chief general manager (CGM) of SAIL gave details about the industrial problems identified by SAIL. He said convertors, re-hitting furnish and development of Mills Digital Twine are problems.
Dipak Jain (CGM), Dipak Kumar (senior manager), and Vikash Kumar (manager) of SAIL shed light on the project and problems at the meeting.
On the occasion, students of different faculties showcased their Model Project to visiting SAIL authorities who highly appreciated. SAIL officers also inaugurated ‘Techfest 23’ on the campus.
Prof Rajiv Ranjan conducted the function. Prof Md Abul Kalam, Prof Ghanshyam and Prof Rvjiv Verma also addressed the function.
