Dhanbad, May 9: BJP MLA Raj Sinha today served an ultimatum to the management of Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) Sindri to either talk within a week over 75% of job to locals in the chemical plant or face an indefinite dharna at the entry gate.
The Dhanbad Sadar MLA, who participated in the two-day dharna of Bhartiya Urvarak Shramik Sangh at the main gate of HURL Sindri on Tuesday, alleged that on the directive of the state government, HURL management is harassing the BJP-supported union and promoting the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s trade union.
“ If in one-week the HURL management fails to negotiate with the Sangh leaders over 75% jobs to local youth in the chemical plant (HURL), an indefinite dharna would be staged at the main gate of HURL,” he said.
The BJP MLA resented that the HURL management got the tent of Bhartiya Urvarak Shramik Sangh removed when thye district administration imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC at the gate but at the same time they did not touch the tent of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supported trade union who has been staging dharna there for the last 197 days. It shows that the HURL management is working on the direction of the state government.
“I will along with Dhanbad MP PN Singh meet the Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizer Mansukh Mandavia and demand the transfer of HURL Sindri vice-president Dipten Ray and the dismissal of human resources manager Vikrant Kumar,” said Raj Sinha.
