Dhanbad: CBI Court asks to produce witnesses in MLA Mahendra Singh murder case

Dhanbad, Mar 3: The special CBI court today asked to produce a witness in a 17-year-old assignation case of former Bagodar (Giridih district) CPIML MLA  Mahendra Singh.

The jailed main accused of the murder and hardcore Naxal Ramesh Daa alias  Sakim Daa today produced in the court of special CBI judge Rajni Kant Pathak today. The court directed CBI to produce witnesses of the incident.

CPIML MLA  Mahendra Singh ( father of present Bagodar MLA Binod Singh) was shot dead on February 6, 2005, at Durghvaiya village under Bagodar police station while holding a public rally.

Two bike-borne killers shot him dead with an automatic gun and fled away from the spot.

CBI Special Crime branch  Lucknow was handed over the case for investigation. The main accused Sakin Daa while producing in Giridih jail escaped along with his accomplices after attacking police on November 14, 2012. Later on, he was again arrested.
