Railway Child Line coordinator  Nand  Kishore Mahto, who rescued the infant, said that the left hand of the child was broken (plastered) and a sign of a neck injury mark was also found. Coordinator Nand Kishore Mahto said the child looked hardly one and a half years old and was not in a condition to respond to any word before being admitted.

“Condition of the child looked like an attempt was made to kill him before deserting at the railway station premises”.

Dhanbad GRP inspector Pankaj Kumar said that CCTV footages are being screened to identify who and when abandoned the child there.
