Dhanbad, March 23: The Dhanbad POCSO court on Thursday awarded life term jail for two rape accused, Dholan Prasad Hazra and Bhaskar Hazra in an eight-month old case.
The special judge of POCSO court, Prabhakar Singh, while delivering the judgement in the case also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each on both the accused.
The POCSO court PP said that the court held both the accused guilty in the case on Wednesday and reserved the announcement for quantum of punishment for Thursday.
The brother of the victim minor girl had filed an FIR in Barwadda police station of the district on August 27, 2022 against Dholan Hazra and Bhaskar Hazara , the residents of Fufwadih village, for committing the crime on August 26 evening. The police filed the charge sheet in the court on November 5, 2022 against both of them.
