Dhanbad, Dec 8: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) has partnered with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to spread awareness of a sustainable environment to teachers and students of the region.
In this regard, TSF and TERI organised a workshop on ‘Be Ecomatic’ at JRD Tata Auditorium, GM Office Jamadoba with an objective to build and strengthen the scope of teachers and encourage young minds (students) to participate in activities and initiatives at the school and community level for the solution of a sustainable environment,
Notably, a total of 140 students along with the teachers of five schools of the region including Tata DAV School, Jamadoba, DAV Model School, CFRI, DAV Public School, Alkusa and Tata DAV School, Sijua participated in the workshop.
The workshop was conducted under the leadership of Ravi Sankar Das, Jatin Kumar Choudhary and Mohammad Abdullah Atiq from TERI through interactive sessions in which the students were actively engaged and learnt about waste management, recycling procedures, composting and other topics.
The students and teachers also participated in a variety of group activities to gain a better understanding of waste management, recycling processes, etc.
