Dhanbad, Oct 17: Unidentified killers slayed two youth using sharp weapons in a narrow lane in the Karimganj area of Wasseypur under a bank More police station around two km away from district headquarter on Sunday evening.

The youths were identified as Sahil Ansari (19), son of Shamim Ansari and a resident of the Marufganj area (Wasseypur) and Sohail Ansari (21), son of Amber Ansari Giridih who is a Saria resident.

The incident occurred at around 8 pm. Both friends were reportedly going to market through a narrow lane in the Karimganj area when the killers, who were said to be five to six in number, ambushed and attacked them with sharp weapons. Both bodies were found 15 metres away from each other. The killers hit them on the neck and stabbed different parts of their bodies.

According to the police, the killers fled from the spot. Since it was a long deserted narrow lane, no one heard the victims’ voices for help.

On getting information, Bank More Police station officer-in-charge PK Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) law and order Arvind Sinha reached the spot and began the investigation.

Sahil Khan was the relative of Guria Khan, who has an old enmity with Fahim Khan, the notorious criminal of Wasseypur who is presently in Hazaribagh Jail while Sohail Ansari was an auto driver.

Police said that the initial investigation reveals that the youths had no dispute with anyone. But it is a matter of investigation why they were murdered in this way.

Dhanbad SSP Sanjiv Kumar while talking to the media said that a probe has been started in this case and the killers will be arrested soon.
