Ramgarh, Nov 18: On Friday, Divisional Commissioner cum Electoral Roll Observer, North Chhotanagpur Division Chandra Kishore Oraon visited Ramgarh district. He was given a guard of honor by the district administration, Ramgarh, at the subdivision office premises, Ramgarh.
Oraon, in view of the Voter List Special Brief Revision Program 2023, along with District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Ramgarh Madhavi Mishra and Election Officer 23 Ramgarh Assembly Constituency cum Sub-Divisional Officer Mohammad Javed Hussain, conducted various polling in Chattarmandu and Kaitha area under Ramgarh city.
During the inspection, Oraon took stock of the work going on at the polling stations under the voter’s list special brief revision program, the workers were made to check every eligible person who completed 18 years of age on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1. Instructed to ensure that necessary action is taken to add names to the voter’s list, while conducting a survey in the areas, he directed to remove the names of persons who are not currently residing in Ramgarh district from the voter’s list.
On the occasion, he said that in order to strengthen the election process, it is very important that every eligible voter should have his voter ID card and exercise his franchise. He also instructed to make voters aware about voting using various mediums. Taking information about the work being done under the linking of voter ID card with Aadhaar card, Oraon directed to ensure that all voters’ voter ID card is linked with Aadhaar card while completing the target as soon as possible. Oraon said that in today’s era, when people are taking advantage of various facilities by using mobile, mobile is a very effective tool to make people aware of the election process and election related activities. During this, while giving information about the benefits of the Voter Helpline App, he directed for wide publicity of the app.
