Ranchi, June 19: Jharkhand Governor C.P Radhakrishnan today shared his achievements as a parliamentarian and explained his duty as a Governor with school children, and assured them of a better nutrition. He got the opportunity when he visited some of the schools in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district of the state and spared some time interacting with the school children.

“As a parliamentarian, I worked towards making roads, electricity, water, education, and employment besides others accessible to the public in his area and played his role in getting six additional trains operating from Coimbatore,” the governor said while replying to the query of a girl at Kumar Vijay Pratap Singhdeo State, Sponsored Girls +2 High School.

He added, as a governor he is discharging his constitutional duties to see a positive change in the lives of the people standing at the last rung of the society and that’s why he goes to remote villages and communicates with the villagers and gets aware of their problems. In the course of the dialogue as the governor, he motivated students by saying, “Do hard work without worrying about the result and schedule time for each work”.

Governor Radhakrishnan, on this occasion, missed no opportunity to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said his source of inspiration is Modi who is working tirelessly for the development of the country, due to which India has become the 5th largest economy country in the world. “We should also try continuously, we will definitely get success,” he suggested to students.

During his visit to the Scheduled Tribe Residential High School in the same district he, after interacting with the school children, distributed sports material among them; inquired about the education provided to the children, hostel arrangements and food and drinks. The children informed him that nutritious food was provided to them. Egg is also given in the food.

The Governor said that protein-rich food is essential for the physical and mental development of children. He said that he is wishing that the students of classes 8 and 9 should also have access to eggs and milk two days a week, for this he will hold a meeting with the Social Welfare Department after his tour.

Explaining the importance of education to the children, he inspired them to study diligently. The governor during his visit to the school expressed his gratitude to the family of Kumar Vijay Pratap Singhdeo for donating land for the school. The Governor appreciated the arrangements for ICT lab, library and smart class in the school.
