New Delhi, May 7: The price of home cooking gas or LPG was increased on Saturday by Rs 50 per cylinder. It is the second increase in two months.
The increase comes just days after the price of commercial LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 102.50.
In Delhi, a non-subsidised 14.2-kg cooking gas cylinder would now cost Rs. 999.50.
The most recent increase in domestic LPG pricing occurred on March 22, when the price was raised by Rs 50. In the month of April, the price of this cylinder remained unchanged.
The commercial LPG price was previously increased by Rs 105 on March 1. A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder costs Rs 2,355.50, up from Rs 2,253 before.
The increase in cylinder costs comes at a time when people are already concerned about the country’s growing petrol and diesel prices.
