Dhanbad, Nov 27: A class XI student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, identified as Akshay Kumar Pandey, was found hanging with a ceiling fan in his room under Sector-4 police station area on Saturday morning.
Binod Kumar Gupta, officer in-charge of Sector-4 police station told media persons that after getting information at 7 am, police broke the door locked from inside and found the student hanging with a ceiling fan.
Akshay belonged to Barh district of Bihar and came to Bokaro for studying. He used to live alone in the outhouse of BSL quarter no.1074. His parents were informed by police after taking his body into possession. His father works in a Gujarat based firm.
“Prima facie it looks like a suicidal case as police has recovered a suicide note written by the student in the room seeking excuse from his parents for committing suicide,” said the police officer.
He further said that the condition of body in the room suggested that suicide was committed at night. However, police were informed about the incident in the morning.
In his suicide note, the student while seeking an apology from his parents, has written that he failed to come up on their expectation. So, he is committing suicide. On the basis of this note, the police has filed a case of suicide and the body was sent for post mortem.
