DPS Bokaro students get cyber security tips

Dhanbad, Oct 3: Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro today held a workshop on digital threats to educate and aware students of cybercrime.

Renowned cyber security expert and digital intelligence consultant Deepak Kumar of Delhi, while addressing the workshop emphasized the need for cyber security awareness in today’s digital age for students as well as people.

During his presentation, Deepak Kumar shared real-life examples of how young individuals can be lured into cyber traps. He shed light on the diverse world of cybercrime and discussed its various forms, impacts and preventive measures.

The students were introduced to concepts such as cyberbullying and online fraud.

The cyber security expert stressed the importance of strong password creation, regular software updates, and responsible online behaviour to safeguard one’s digital identity. These insights equipped students with the tools to protect themselves online.

After the workshop, the participant students expressed satisfaction with the tips given by the expert for alertness against cyber fraud as well as cybercriminals.

DPS Bokaro principal Dr A S  Gangwar explained the necessity of providing young minds with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape safely.

A school official said that the workshop titled “Cybercrime – A Review of the Evidence, How Police Investigates” was organized in an effort to educate and empower the students in the face of digital threats.
