Dhanbad, June 28: Kunal Anand (Class VIII) and Swapnil Snigdh (Class X) students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro have topped in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2023 national competition.
The event was held at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan a national programme was jointly organized by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) and Vigyan Prasar for educating and popularizing science among students.
Both the winners of Bokaro Delhi Public School ( DPS) have been awarded with cash prize, National Camp Memento, merit certificate and internship at Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai. Kunal has been awarded with Rs 3000 and Swapnil Snigdh has been awarded with Rs 2000.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national programme with the objective to identify keen knowledge seekers in science and then nurture them for a higher level of science education. VVM examination includes written test, observational analysis of video clips, situation problems and hands-on activities.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro expressed his happiness over the achievement of Kunal Anand and Swapnil Snigdh and said that such competitions cultivate the scientific habits in students and develop their capability to engage in scientific inquiry.
