DPS Ranchi student Aditi Raj to attend 44th Chess Olympiad

Ranchi, July 8: Aditi Raj, a Class IX student at the Delhi Public School in Ranchi, will witness  the 44th Chess Olympiad, which will take place in Mahabalipuram, Chennai, from July 28 to August 10, 2022.

She has been chosen to attend the competition, where she will have the chance to speak with chess grandmasters from around the world and learn more about the sport. Aditi is one of a total of six Jharkhand-based students that will take part in this activity.

 

She had previously taken part in the ceremonial Olympiad Torch Relay, which was graced by Jharkhand Sports Minister Hafizul Hassan, and was held at the Khelgaon Sports Complex in Ranchi on July 7, 2022.

Dr. Ram Singh, the school’s principal, praised Aditi on her outstanding achievement.
