Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary: Hockey Simdega holds quiz, singing contest

Ranchi, April 14: Hockey Simdega celebrated the 131st birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by organising speech, essay, quiz and patriotic anthem competition for hockey players at RC Primary Upgraded Middle School at Kargagudi, Simdega. Many hockey players from different schools participated in the competition.

 

Hockey Simdega President Manoj Konbegi, while highlighting the biography of B.R. Ambedkar said that it is very important for us to follow his words.


“He used to be seated in the last row in the classroom so that no one talked or touched him as he was from a lower caste. He became the author of the Constitution of India as well as he was made the first law minister of the country,” he added.

 

Father Paulus Bage, Coordinator of the school explained about the life of Baba Saheb and why it is most important for us to be educated in any field.He added that we have to organise and struggle whether it is sports or studies. We can move forward only by giving our best in all the fields.

 

Romika Kujur won the first prize in speech and essay competition whereas Bhagwati Kumari won the quiz competition. Vishes Badaik won the singing competition.
