Jamshedpur, May 31:  Most districts of Jharkhand would witness dry weather on Wednesday, said an IMD forecast issued this morning.

Some districts especially those in the southern parts might witness cloudy conditions today, weathermen said.

Satellite pictures indicated a trough running from the cyclonic circulation over East Madhya Pradesh to East Bihar at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

Light rainfall with thunderstorms occurred at isolated places during the past 24- hours.

The highest rainfall recorded was 7.5 mm at Lohardaga. The highest maximum temperature of  41.8°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 27.2°C was recorded at Ranchi.

Deoghar, Godda and Garhwa recorded a maximum temperature of over 41 degrees Celsius while Gumla and Khunti recorded around 40 degrees Celsius.

Weathermen predicted a rise of around two degree Celsius in the day’s temperature during the next three days.

The rising heat coupled with humidity resulted in high discomfort index in several districts.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre did not issue any alerts for today and in the next 48- hours.
